Water for South Sudan
DigDeep

Because of the contributions made by FGCNYS to Water for South Sudan, seventeen communities in the South Sudan have received new or renewed life-saving access to clean water! This has included 8 Full and 3 partial well construction and 6 Well rehabilitation. The support given to Water for South Sudan makes an enormous difference to the people of South Sudan.
FGCNYS is considered a cornerstone of the WFSS mission. Continued support helps drill more wells that transform daily life for the surrounding areas - turning hours of walking into hours of learning, working, and playing.

With the help of Federated Garden Clubs of New York State’s continued support of DigDeep, they are empowering communities to build sustainable water and sanitation infrastructure to fit their unique needs. Their projects are community-led and create lasting change – measurably improving health outcomes, educational access, and economic opportunities – meaning people are happier and healthier.
Through the Navajo Water Project (Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah), clean running water and indoor plumbing has been brought to thousands of households. Beyond infrastructure, DigDeep is leading critical research, developing the next generation of water workers, and advocating for policies that will help end the water crisis in America.

Recent well rehabilitation sponsored by FGCNYS has been successfully completed.
Dear FGCNYS,
We’re honored to share that the well rehabilitation you sponsored has been successfully completed. Because of your generosity, students and families near Tobby Primary School now have renewed access to safe, reliable water close to home.
Our South Sudan–based team continues to lead this work, from drilling to training local Water Management Committees, ensuring each well is maintained and managed for long-term use. This is how your support extends beyond installation to lasting impact.
